Shop Kitty - Watching the finish dry, something shop kitty's do well!
Whats New in the life of the Barefoot Scroller??
~ 07/13/08~ Well it has been a while since I have updated my site here so let me catch you all up. We have gutted our kitchen and for some insane reason I let my wife and a friend convince me that I could build the cabinets. I am not sure who was more delusional, them or me but it is coming along and you can see pic's of the progress on the In the shop page. So there has been no scrolling since that started and will not be until that is finished. The county and state fairs are coming up so I will be entering the chess set and a couple of other things that I have completed this year. My daughter Kris has graduated boot camp at Ft. Leonard Wood MO and is now in AIT to become an MP. When she completes her training she is going to Ft. Leavenworth KS and will be assigned to the 500th MP Battalion that is stationed there as a garrison unit. Sp for now, no Middle East which as a Dad makes me very happy. I have only been climbing a couple of times this year as it seems there is just never any time but hopefully very soon, I am getting antsy for some vertical rock. So until next time - There will be more to come so stay tuned . . . . Soooooo . . . . Check out in the 'In the Shop' page for the latest project in progress. Remember to come back often to see what has been going on and Thanks for visiting! Hit the contact page and leave your mark in the guest book! See ya'll in the shop! Y'all come back now, here?
You will find pictures of projects both current and past and will get to follow my development as a scroll sawer and woodworker in general. I have decided to put this page on the web because I really love this hobby and wish to share with others who have an interest. The people I have met through the web as well as all the wood workers at the various local shops have been really nice and very helpful.
We have all heard that before! This is a hobby for me to relax and forget the brutal day! I am an IT Manager and run a Global Technical Help Desk, it pays well and is a challenging and rewarding career but boy can the stress from that take its toll on a body! Man does not live by bread alone you know!
You will not see anything here that is not family friendly. I am a family guy and a Christian and as such will not post or link to anything that is contrary to that! Your family is safe here!

The latest finished large project - The Notre Dame chess set. Pattern by Jim Kape of AZ, case design by Barefoot Woodworks.

The Latest - Whispering Winds Vineyard Clock. I milled all of the wood for this clock myself in the shop!
Custom Scroll Work on Commission
I am now accepting commissions for custom scroll work. If you see something you like I can build it for you. You can select the type of wood you want and the pattern. Please contact me via email for details. Please keep in mind that I am an artist, my work is art and not production junk. If you want something that looks exactly like a picture, please go to Wal-Mart or Target, this is not for you. If you want an individual piece of work that reflects your ideas and my work then get in touch with me. Have an idea and no pattern? Get in touch with me, we will figure it out.
