Whats New in the life of the Barefoot Scroller??
~ 6/18/2009~ And now it is June and I have done very little in the shop lately. The weather got nice and we scrambled outdoors like trapped rats escaping a sinking ship. Winter was way too long this year. It has been good to get out and hike, climb and just generally fart around! I need to get busy on my project, but have been lagging due to nice weather, lack of knowledge about how to proceed and did I say nice weather? Of course it has rained the last two weeks almost every day and with thunderheads in the sky you stay our of the mountains! Time to get busy and get some work done in the shop! There will be more to come so stay tuned . . . . Soooooo . . . . Check out in the 'In the Shop' page for the latest project in progress. Remember to come back often to see what has been going on and Thanks for visiting! Hit the contact page and leave your mark in the guest book! See ya'll in the shop! Y'all come back now, here?
You will find pictures of projects both current and past and will get to follow my development as a scroll sawer and woodworker in general. I have decided to put this page on the web because I really love this hobby and wish to share with others who have an interest. The people I have met through the web as well as all the wood workers at the various local shops have been really nice and very helpful.
We have all heard that before! This is a hobby for me to relax and forget the brutal day! I am an IT Manager and run a Global Technical Help Desk, it pays well and is a challenging and rewarding career but boy can the stress from that take its toll on a body! Man does not live by bread alone you know!
You will not see anything here that is not family friendly. I am a family guy and a Christian and as such will not post or link to anything that is contrary to that! Your family is safe here!

So I have thought a lot about this and have found that I do not like working for others. That sounds bad but it seems to take the joy out of the work for me. I will still sell my work but I think I am going to focus on building some things I want to build and then see if I can sell them. We will see.
